Sparks Exterior Services LLC was built on hands-on experience that started long before it became a business. Growing up working on his grandparents’ property, Derek learned early what real labor looks like — planting, digging, maintaining land, and seeing firsthand how consistent effort transforms a space. That foundation shaped his work ethic and appreciation for visible, physical results.

At 14, Derek picked up his first mowing client — his next-door neighbor in Port Angeles, Washington. What started as one lawn turned into multiple clients throughout his teenage years. After moving to Boise to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Boise State University, he continued building his client base throughout college.

After graduating in 2025, Derek turned what had been an eight-year side business into a full-time career. By saying yes to a wide range of projects over the years, he developed broad skill sets in landscaping, exterior services, client communication, and job execution. Boise is now home, and this company is built to serve homeowners with long-term property care — not one-time jobs.
